Honestly, though, it’s not that spicy – since the jalapeños are seeded and
soaked overnight, the alcohol and citrus acids take away most of the spice
& you end up with a jalapeño essence/flavor. The agave also balances out
the heat.
To make a big batch:
- 2 cups tequila
- 2 cups citrus juice (I used fresh squeezed cara cara orange juice)
- 1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1/4 cup agave or honey
- 1-2 jalapeños (halved & seeded)
- 1 lime (sliced)
Combine ingredients, stir, and refrigerate overnight. Discard jalapeños &
lime slices. Rub lime juice along the rims of your glasses & salt with
Tutu’s Pantry Hawaiian Jerk Seasoning. Add ice cubes & margarita & enjoy!
Cheers!
